About - Bruce Graybill

Bio:

Award winning multi-instrumentalist, composer and singer-songwriter Bruce Graybill got his start in professional music in 1975 as lead Guitarist touring with The Ebony Blue Show Band. In 1982 he was introduced to Mandolin and Winfield, later marrying into the family that introduced him to both. Awards include two first place, two third place, and nine top five placements in Mandolin at the National Flat-pick Championships (Winfield), in addition to six Kansas State Champion titles in Mandolin, and Flatpick Guitar. Bruce is an endorsing artist for Montana Lutherie, and is proud to have worked with Bruce Weber for the past 21 years! He is also a former President of The Classical Mandolin Society of America Inc.

Bruce currently performs solo, with ‘Hot Strings,’ and the duo ‘Cordas Eclética’ in the Kansas City area, and teaches as a nationally recognized clinician. Notable performances include The Grand Ole Opry, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Classical Mandolin Society of America conventions across North America. Two solo recordings: ‘The Bell Effect,’ and ‘Mandocranium, an acoustic stringed Fantasy,’ round out his discography with other artists.
